⚠️ Any of these signs mean it's an emergency:

⚡ Act now — in this order:

  1. 1 Lay the person flat. If breathing is difficult, they can sit — but don't let them stand or walk. If they're vomiting or unconscious, turn them on their side.
  2. 2 Give adrenaline right away using their adrenaline autoinjector (EpiPen® or Anapen®), following the instructions printed on the device.
  3. 3 Call 000 and say "anaphylaxis."
  4. 4 Stay with them. If there's no improvement after 5 minutes and a second autoinjector is available, give a second dose.
  5. 5 Start CPR immediately if they stop responding or stop breathing normally.
  6. 6 Go to hospital even if they seem better — symptoms can return hours later, so they need to be monitored.
ℹ️ If they have their own ASCIA Action Plan from a doctor, follow that first — this is general guidance for when a personal plan isn't available.
ℹ️ No adrenaline autoinjector available? Call 000 immediately and follow the call-taker's instructions.

This emergency protocol is free for everyone, always.
